Answers will vary. Organizational learning refers to the process by which an organization "learns" from past mistakes and adapts to its environment. Over time, rules and procedures change based on experience, but this change is still based on individual learning; that is, individuals learn how to adapt, change, and then interact with one another so that the new information gained can be shared and distributed throughout the organization. As a result, a shared vision and interpretation of the information is developed, and the change permeates the entire organization. At this point, the organization can be said to have "learned" how to be more effective.
