Explain the primary goals of the Knights of Labor.

The Knights of Labor were primarily concerned with raising the level of moral, intellectual, spiritual, and social development of the worker. To do this, they wanted to unite capital and labor into worker cooperatives that would emphasize their common goals, including the betterment of society. These cooperatives would include workers, farmers, shopkeepers, but also employers who were directly linked to their manufacturing plants and other businesses.
