Ethnomethodology is a theoretical tradition that emphasizes the study of how people use everyday practical reasoning to make sense of their social world. It is not inherently limited in terms of diversity, and scholars from a wide range of backgrounds have contributed to its development and application. However, like any field, it is also subject to the broader structural inequalities and biases that exist within academia as well as in society more generally, and there is still work to be done to ensure that it is inclusive and representative of diverse perspectives and experiences.
