-The contact hypothesis tells us that the more contact you have with someone who is different from you,the more positive regard you will have for them,the less prejudice you will experience toward them and the fewer stereotypes you will form about them.
-For example,you sit next to and work daily with a person of different ethnicity who has a thick accent.
-At first,you might have difficulty communicating with this person and might see them as quite different,but we would eventually,through increased contact,learn to communicate more effectively and see that person as more LIKE us than different FROM us.
