Why are more couples deciding to remain child free?

They may have a family history of genetic diseases they do not want to pass on.Women may be more aware of the challenges of balancing employment and parenthood.Couples may remain childless because of inertia or indecision,i.e.they end up postponing having children indefinitely.Couples may marry later in life and may not want to have children at an older age.Some individuals who are not married may not want to be single parents.Some may feel that it is not right to bring more children into an already overcrowded world,or that they would not have the temperament to be a good parent.Still others do not want to structure their lives around children when they can experience parenthood vicariously through nephews and nieces.
