What is an RSS feed?

It is convenient for users to have information come to them. An RSS (Really Simple Syndication) feed is one such way to gather information quickly and efficiently. When users go to a news site, blog, or other webpage and subscribe to its RSS feed, that site will push content through its RSS feed to a reader such as Google Reader, My Yahoo, or Outlook. By using RSS feeds, users no longer have to go to multiple sites individually to access information; they just open a reader, and the information from all of the sites they subscribe to is there.
