What distinguished second wave feminism?

Women activists of the latter 1960s began to identify discrimination against women on the model of racist discrimination, coined the term "sexism," and called for "women's liberation." A central cause for second wave feminists was the equal rights amendment, but this was also a global movement for women's rights.
