Pluralism is a nostalgic allegiance to the culture of the immigrant generation, or of the old country-a love for and a pride in a tradition that can be felt without having to be incorporated in everyday behaviour.

Immigrant Generation

The cohort of immigrants and their descendants identifying with the initial migration phase.

Old Country

A term often used by immigrants or descendants referring nostalgically to the country of their or their ancestors' origin.
