Is leisure the opposite of work? Why or why not?

Every answer should say no. Rather than understanding leisure as the opposite of work, sociologists see the two as complementary activities within a capitalist economic system. This relationship manifests itself in a number of ways. For instance, workers' earned wages fuel multibillion-dollar global leisure industries such as travel and hospitality, spectatorship, entertainment, and luxury services. Work also spills into leisure time.
