Identify and briefly describe the four components all management development programs should include.

It is recommended that all management development programs include
a) skills assessment to identify strengths and weaknesses;
b) skill acquisition to learn the principles associated with the basic skills required;
c) skill practice to develop procedural learning and to integrate the principles into smooth behavioural actions, and
d) skill application on the job to transfer the new skills and behaviours to the actual work environment.
