Some examples of situations you might experience in college that will require these skills are deciding which sources are most important to include in your research paper; finding a way to negotiate a problem situation with your roommate; determining the kinds of exercise you need to maintain a healthy fitness level and avoid weight gain; and understanding the advantages and disadvantages of accessing information sources, including Facebook, Twitter feeds, CNN, USA Today, the New York Times, the Onion, and your school newspaper.
