IQ tests can be used to predict performance in school, and correlate with outcomes such as whether individuals are likely to enter high-status occupations. Some researchers argue that all IQ measures is how well of a test taker an individual is, and argue that the available IQ tests do not do a good enough job of accounting for cultural variations. Individuals in the second group believe that the score is simply a measure of how well the test taker has mastered English.
