The framework for an evaluation needs to be arranged during the planning phase of an intervention, since evaluation methods should be closely integrated with the design of educational strategies. Outcomes evaluations may include how well the facilitator delivered the intervention or quality of the audiovisuals or handouts. Effectiveness of an intervention should be evaluated and this can include variables such as knowledge, skills, attitudes, perceptions, or adoption of new behaviors by the participants. Finally, an evaluation needs to measure the perceptions of the organizers and implementers of an intervention.
